Trader Joe’s Vegetable Biryani with Vegetable Dumplings (vegan)

briyaniboxThe photo on the box is really misleading. They show nearly all the dumplings, but only about 1/4 of the rice so you assume there are a lot of dumplings. In reality, the dish is mostly rice.

However, the flavor is really good and the extra rice comes in handy. Just move the dumplings to one side of the plate and put some palak paneer or other Indian side dish over the rest of the rice for a really satisfying meal.

In my opinion, calling that two (2) servings is misleading and dishonest. It is done to make the nutritional values look better than they actually are. It is a single serving with 520 calories and 16 grams of fat. Let’s be real!
