Trader Joe’s cheese enchiladas are a great value and go well with other Trader Joe’s Mexican foods. 3 pineapples for this dish that plays well with others.
This item appears to be identical to the Amy’s brand version, except for the packaging. These enchiladas cook well in the microwave in approximately 5 minutes for a great quick lunch entree. Unlike most frozen foods this one doesn’t seem to suffer from early thawing so I often move it from the freezer to fridge in the morning. It not only cooks a bit faster, but comes out of the tray without falling apart.
As with many foods, the serving size is laughable. However, I frequently make a combo plate with one of these enchiladas, one Black Bean & Corn Enchilada, some black beans, and a Southwest Salad. Yum!

I just heated the Trader Joe’s cheese enchiladas for the first time and was unable to eat them. Just putting a dab of the sauce on my tongue burned so bad. I checked the package and it said “green pepper” but nothing about “jalapeño peppers ” and no where on the package did it say “hot”!! I had to throw the entire package away. Labels should warn if something is going to be that hot!
