Trader Joe’s Giant White Beans (vegan)

Twhitebeanshese beans are a filling and savory snack that earn 3 pineapples in my house, but may not in yours.

The beans are in a mild, slightly sweet tomato based sauce. Both my son and I have been known to eat these right out of the jar. However, I suspect that the texture of this item, may not appeal to everyone. The beans are a bit mushy and the sauce is gloppy. You’ll either like it or hate it.

Another issue is that the beans don’t inspire me. Normally, I’d put beans on a salad, but these would take away from the freshness of a salad. I’ve seen beans like this on an antipasto tray, but I think they’re a bit messy for that. So until I think of something better, we’ll just grab a spoon and go for it!

I’m SO sad that these beans, plus the Tom Yam soup as well, have been discontinued. How can we best let Trader Joe’s know how badly we want them back?
